Beware The Leaven Of The Pharisee

Jesus warns His followers to "beware of the leaven of the Pharisees" …leaven is symbol of something that, though small, can spread and alter the entire substance it was mixed with. The Pharisees were known for their external show of righteousness while inwardly they were greedy for wealth and power. For many today, money can become as an idol, where you find security in it rather than in God's provision. So Jesus warned that "you cannot serve both God and money" (Matthew 6:24).
